This weekend Patti and I went to Phoenix to get our taxes done. We all go to the same lady, Patti and all of her sisters, so we make a party out of it. After we were done with the business of taxes, we all went out to dinner at Buca di Beppo's. It was great! Buca di Beppo's is a fun Itallian restaurant, that serves dinner family style, so everyone has to agree what they want. There were 9 of us there, and we got two large pasta dishes, and a small eggplant parmigana. Well we took enough of it home wih us after eating, that we could have it for lunch today too. GOOD FOOD! 2 larges and a small can probably feed 15 people. Ha ha ha! Especially if 3 of them are bariatric patients. Anyway it was a good time! We'll have to do it again someday.
Today we have a two hour delay going to school. THAT'S RIGHT... It snowed in Lordsburg!!!There are only a couple of inches out today, but a good number of the district's teachers come in from out of town, and it is better to be safe than sorry. Snow days are rare here, but they happen every now and then. In my 12 years working in Lordsburg, I think this might be our third snow day. So here I am stil at home! Poor Patti had to go in at the regular time in case some parents brought their kids to school. That and answering phones...
Oh well I am going to enjoy Good Morning America, and just take my may morning slowly for once.
OH, I almost forgot! PHINSUP!!!! We are going to go see Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band.
These are the types of looks that will help you lose weight. If you own a dog and ever share a bite from your meal, you can count on looking at something like this for the life of your dog. I am a pushover for the eyes, and dachshunds have it down in spades. Red and Ari both are masters at it.
In my liturature class at Western New Mexico, I have a number of assignments that I do. This week we were required to make a poster of a childrens book. Something that would stimulate an interest in the book, and then we then had to present it to children at a school. I designed my poster around the book The Enormous Turnip. It is a Russian folktale that I am very familiar with because there are a number of variations on the story, you could spend a good week reading them all to kids, and doing related projects around the stories. Well since I put in the work and made the poster, I decided to show it off. I was pleased with my results.
