Well folks its been fun, but as they say, "all good things must come to and end." We have had a great time and it has been fun sharing another Disney adventure with Danneel. This morning we got up and got ready to come to the park for a couple of hours. The main event was "The Cafe Orleans" in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland... Holy cow! Danneel had a Monte Cristo Sandwich the last time she was here, and was needing another one. She had talked about it a few times over the week, so we decided it's now or never. We had to get reservations yesterday to get in this morning because "we don't take walk-ins." Oh well... Last night Patti got reservations for today, and I decided I would try one. WOW! It's a good thing Disneyland is so far from Lordsburg, or I would be getting one of these all of the time. I loved it! It does however look like a heart attack on a plate, but it was delicious. Before the Cafe, we got on Pirates of the Caribbean, which ran right up until our reservation time. After lunch we did the Jungle Cruise at my insistence. Then we bid Disneyland a fond farewell...

Another Perfect Day
Going into Disneyland you see this quote from Walt Disney Ready for another fun filled Zippidy Do Dah Day!
Screamin' Again
Patti is late for a very important date!
Grizzly Peak Waterfall
Visiting Tinkerbell
Disneyland is celebrating everyone's birthday this year.
I got to ride Space mountain twice today. Poor Danneel got her face blocked for this photograph.
Today we started the day off riding the kid rides. Like Snow Whites Scary Adventure, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pinocchio, and Space Mountain... We ate breakfast at the Riverbelle restaurant, and then went over and rode California Screamin', then Toy Story Mania, then Screamin' again twice. Then we went back to Disneyland and rode the train around the park a couple of times. We ate dinner, then Patti and I rode Space Mountain again. About the time they were starting the fireworks, we we getting on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. After that we called it a night.
By the way, sorry about yesterday's tirade on the evil money magnet thing. When Walt Disney built his park, he envisioned a place where people could leave behind the problems of the world, and escape to a world of an easier carefree time in their life... Unless you are a child then it is just pure stimulation (you guys don't have anything to escape yet). Disneyland does that to a great extent and brings you back to another time, you can leave behind what adult problems you may have, and become a child at heart. I'm hooked, unless they design a patch that will do the same thing. Anyway yesterday... well lets just say I found a soap box, got too stimulated, and well... call it a weak moment. I was cured by a little "hair of the dog that bit me." Besides it's good for the economic stimulus, we all have to do our part for the USA, and I am going to do MY part at Disneyland.

Say bye bye to the Golden gate Bridge replica that graces the entrance of California Adventure. Disney is spending $2,000,000,000 to make Disney's California Adventure a people/money magnet, because it attracts crowds not hordes of people. That is one of the reasons I liked the park! That and the fact that it was Disney without being TOO Disney. Like Disneyland for adults. Well, they are putting an end to that nonsense. As long as there are stray dollars floating out there, they are going to try to get them. They are not going to spend two billion dollars, unless they have a plan for getting it back and then some, so look for you ticket prices to go up. Hmmmm, I know this sounds weird, but if they dropped their ticket prices 10 or 20 dollars, it is my guess that they would make money in the long run because people could actually afford it. It would attract more people! Or maybe... they could have made California Adventure a little less than Disneyland. The problem with people not coming to DCA was that they charged the same price as Disneyland despite the fact there were fewer E-ticket rides. It's not the electronic tickets of today, it is a thing of the past, but if you don't know what Disney E-tickets are google it. Well anyway, they took a PERFECT Treb park and ruined it with improvements. It's like the Mona Lisa, one more brush stroke would probably have ruined it. Leonardo Da Venci was smart enough to realize this, and was not driven by my $$$. If they had enough money to invest 2 billion, maybe they didn't need to make it into a dollar magnet. Oh well, I'm still and Disneyphile and I will be coming back. I have too! I gave them $530.00 for annual passes for Patti and I, and I am GOING TO GET MY MONEYS WORTH!

First Day of Spring Break
This afternoon we arrived in Anaheim California. We are going to renew our annual passes, but today is a blockout date, so we couldn't go into Disneyland tonight. Instead we went into Downtown Disney. First we decided to ride the tram to the parking lot. We rode it there and then back to Downtown Disney, and then we went window shopping for awhile. At least we can say we got to go on a ride, and these were for free! We walked down to the Disneyland Hotel... It is cool! I never knew it was so big, and had so many things to see. Very beautiful, especially the garden. We then slowly worked our way back to the entrance to the LaBrea Bakery, and had soup and sandwiches. I just came in from our motel balcony at the Anaheim Plaza, where I watched the 9:00 fireworks show from Disneyland.
The side of the Hollywood Towers Hotel ~or~ The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
The Disneyland ticket offices didn't get our money tonight. Maybe tomorrow...
Taking a free ride on the parking lot tram... Hey it's free!!!

When You Wish Upon a Star... Your Dreams Come True
Going...
Going...
Going...
GONE!
That is our house in the background, now we can see main street... yea!!!
That is our house in the background, now we can see main street... yea!!!
Recently Patti and I were talking about an old house that is around the corner on main street. It has not had inhabited since we moved here. The house didn't too look bad except for an occasional broken window. Well... and the big hole in the back of the house that some lovable hobos had kicked in so they could sleep there. It is about a block and a half off the interstate, and very convenient for hitchhiker and hobos to break into. Well I was called to go the Southside Elementary for something and lo and behold... someone from the city was demolishing it with a backhoe.
